An Ethics Steering Group (ESG) will be established with the main purpose of ensuring the strict adherence to all applicable ethical provisions (national and European protocols). The members will be appointed during the kick-off meeting of the project with appropriate representation from different partner countries, and will work mainly within WP 4 (Ethics). The ESG will also be integrated with two external members with acknowledged expertise. The reviewers will provide their medical and social experience about the overall ethical implications of the project (protection of confidentiality, data banking procedures, consent forms etc).
