The co-ordinator is responsible for the budget management and in all activities related to financial issues is assisted by the Project Manager.
The Project Manager chairs the Financial Management Board and is assisted by a management team operating directly in the Department of the Co-ordinator. He/she will be largely dealing with the financial management of the project including preparation of the co-ordinator cost statements, day-to-day business, administrative support functions. The Project Manager is involved in the negotiation with the Commission regarding budgetary aspects and the negotiation of Consortium Agreement with the partners; he/she will also gather and check the audit certificates from each partner and will assist the financial auditors in terms of providing any exhaustive documentation.
